A medal will be awarded to each entrant who finishes the race:
The medal for the inaugural race, held in 2016, depicted Thomas Walsingham being knighted by Queen Elizabeth I in 1597. The route includes Scadbury Nature Reserve which was then home to the Walsingham family.
The 2017 medal depicts Thomas Townshend, 1st Viscount Sydney together with Frognal Manor House, near Frognal corner on the Chislehurst Half Marathon course, which was the Townshend family home for several generations.
The 2018 medal depicts Sir Charles Pratt, 1st Earl Camden.
The 2019 medal depicts Emperor of France Napoleon 111 who lived at Camden Place in 1870 following defeat and excommunication from France after the Battle of Sedan until his death in 1873.
The 2020 and 2021 races did not take place due to Covid restrictions.
The 2022 medal depicts the Empress Eugenie, spouse of Napoleon, who lived at Camden Place.
The 2023 medal depicts author Richmal Crompton who wrote the 'Just William' books, who lived near Bromley Common.
The 2024 medal depicts William Willett, founder of British Summer Time and the person responsible for clocks going forward an hour in the Spring and back again in the Autumn. Willett is also the great-great-grandfather of Coldplay singer Chris Martin
Trophies will be awarded as follows:
If an age related runner (men over 40 and and women over 35) finishes in the first three in the general classification, the age category trophy is then attributed to the next finisher in that category.
A team prize of packs of beer is also available to the first three males from an affiliated club team and also the first three females from an affiliated team.
Please note that only one individual trophy will be awarded to any one finisher.
